(Sydney, Australia) Looking for a Executive Sous Chef - Chinese Restaurant for a 5 star luxuy hotel.

About the Role:
As Executive Sous Chef - Chinese Restaurant, you will be fully responsible for the efficient and smooth running operation of the entire Chinese Kitchen in accordance with all restaurant operating procedures and local authority requirements.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise and lead the team with Chinese cuisine (Cantonese, Shandong, Jiangsu, Sichuan or Huaiyang) passion for cooking a creative flair and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, Mandarin, Cantonese language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public.
Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared.
To ensure consistent & high quality food preparation in Restaurant & Banquet.
Monitoring financial performance of Asian operations with a particular focus on opportunities for revenue development and cost reduction.
Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience in implementing Chinese cuisine menu & maintaining food quality
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of work experience in a high-volume modern progressive Chinese restaurant required.
A passion and drive focused on Chinese cuisines
Ability to supervise and maintain a high level of food production, preparation and delivery throughout the kitchens.
Ability to lead large and diverse teams
