• Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible
• Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures
• Understands room and room status tracking; coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification housekeeping of all check-outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, special requests, and day use rooms
• Product knowledge and uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel
• Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures
• Welcome guests during check-in and giving a fond farewell to guest while check-out; process check-in and check-out
• Handling guest complaints and concerns in an efficient and timely manner
• Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, raising paid out’s, currency exchange etc,,,
• Clarifies customers question or concerns about the charges on their bills
• Follow up on all deposit dues / deposit to be paid
• Maintain the privacy of all guests by ensuring that no details are disclosed
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of the hotel’s policies & procedures & service standards, have full knowledge of the hotel facilities & happenings
