(Fujairah, United Arab Emirates) Looking for a Junior Sous Chef (Cold Kitchen) for a 5* hotel
About the Role:
As Junior Sous Chef (Cold Kitchen), you will be responsible for leads the subordinates in all aspects of food production to the highest professional standards and in accordance with the standard operating procedures as issued by the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Manager/Director.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Creative and innovation running of the Outlet to which is assigned in accordance to the guidelines given by the Executive Chef.
Estimates and communicates daily production needs.
Demonstrates proper and safe usage of all kitchen equipment.
Ensure that the wage overtime forecast is submitted each week and authorized by the Executive Chef.
Trains employee in the performance of their day-to-day tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Holder of a basic Food Preparation Certificate
Holder of a basic Health & Hygiene Certificate
To be aware of all Health, Safety and Fire regulations and to abide by their terms
To ensure that junior members of the team are aware of Health, Safety & Fire regulations and that they too abide by their terms
Proven track record of cost control including food, equipments, labour and wastage to meet the goals and the hotel's financial goals
Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
