Job Descriptions

Administration
·Ensure that restaurant team have good knowledge of wine and food
·Control on a daily basis the proper storage, aging rotation, and temperature of all stock in beverage storeroom and report any problems and malfunctions
·Ensures all beverage equipment and wine lists are clean and updated with correct vintage and out of stock items
·Checks and monitors the service bar operations (Main service bar and restaurant bar).
·Liaises with the Purchasing Manager to ensure efficient ordering and stock levels during high and low seasons (have proper inventory system in place for the cellar and review receiving / ordering procedures)
·Performs any other reasonable duties as required by the Food & Beverage Manager
Guest Service
·Ensure guests wine preferences are remembered by staff
·Be on duty on the floor during service and to recommend the best possible wines to complement the food ordered; keeping in mind the guest budget and guest preference
·Deal with guest complaints about wine according to MO standards and communicate to Restaurant Manager where appropriate
Essential:
·Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or other related field
·Course of study with Wine Associations (e.g.) American Sommelier Association, Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust
