(Maldives) Looking for a Sous Chef (Italian Cuisine) for a 5 star luxury hotel.
About the Role:
As Sous Chef (Italian Cuisine), you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the restaurant with emphasis on quality, presentation within the guidelines of the standardized menus and employee training.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Supervise in the preparation and presentation of all food items in accordance with the hotel's SOPs and standardized menu guidelines.
• Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to hotel's brand standards.
• Monitor regular standards of production to ensure highest level of quality.
• Monitor all aspects pertaining to the control of the hotel’s food cost.
• Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared.
• Knowledge of seasonal and new products on the market.
• Lead and coach the team member towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
• Preparing, scheduling and delivering training, managing team member performance.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Previous work experience in Italian cuisine
• Previous leadership experience in the culinary field required
