(Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) Looking for an Executive Pastry Chef for a 5 star luxury hotel.

About the Role:
As Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in the day-to-day preparation and production of all pastry item for Buffets and Outlets if required. Controlling of receiving, commissary and stores. Ensures that the product is of the highest quality, and that this is consistently achieved. Assists the Executive Chef in his Tasks and supports his responsibilities. 

Responsibilities 
• Produce all Food required for the assigned Kitchen
• Control the daily ordering and requisitions to meet budgeted food cost.
• Ensure at all times that the labour cost is kept within the budget.
• Supervise and allocate work to associates according to their knowledge and skill level.
• Keeps very good working relationship with Cost Controller and checks on daily base reports to monitor cost and improvement possibilities   
• Assists Executive Chef to keep food cost within the assigned budget to ensure profitability
• Ensures hygiene and cleanliness all around the kitchen, food production and food storage areas during active walks per shift
• Ensures standard of food quality safety at all times during active walks per shift.
• Maintains and enhances associate grooming and personal hygiene according to hotel policies.
• Oversees and / or conducts training for associates as well as implementation of regular Training programs
• Ensure monthly training classes in Pastry and Bakery are conducted.   
• Ensures all Pastry and Bakery employees to comply with the minimum standard of the hotels training hours.  

Requirements:
• An F&B specialist with a proven track record in Food and Beverage within their respected industry.
