Job Descriptions

1. The commis is responsible for the station assigned to him by the Chef de parties.
2. Replaces the Chef de parties in his/ her absence.
3. Understand and comply with annual “Key Performance Indicator” – (KPI) set at the beginning of the year.
4. Prepares food in accordance to the job tasks.
5. Reads the log book for effective communication.
6. Perform all required task in accordance to Hotel policies and procedures.
7. Responsible for the proper maintenance and good working order of all equipment.
8. Responsible for establishing and maintaining high sanitation standards in the work station.
9. To ensure that personal hygiene is always up to the highest standard.
10. To report all faulty equipment to the chef de partie to maintain effective working environment to achieve maximum utilization of material, equipment and for quality and food cost control.

Skills Required

Fluent in English
• Good knowledge of Western Cuisine
Good food presentation skills
Good general awareness and stays informed about local
national and international best practices/trends
Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word
Understanding of HACCP
Good knife skills.
