(Maldives) Looking for a Director of Engineering for a 5* luxury hotel

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Lead and oversee all aspects of the Engineering and Maintenance for the hotel
• Reports to the General Manager on all matters affecting the operations of the hotel. Advise and confers with management on effective use of heat, light and power and proper application of repair and maintenance plan and procedures.
• To plan, direct, control co-ordinate and participate in all areas and activities of the department.
• To Issue and receive licenses, permits, certificates and approvals related to operation of equipment in the hotels.
• Cooperation with housekeeping, F&B and other departments for all issues related to any breaks or defects in equipment work, their repair, as well as repair of room and public area equipment.
• Recommends changes or more efficient use of mechanical equipment, tests numerous products and equipment, new and those in use, to determine adaptability and suitability.
• To keep the cost at a minimum and will ensure that the hotel standards of service and cleanliness of the entire hotel is maintained.
• Making the working schedules and vacations schedule for the department staff
• Hiring, training and development, supervision, and disciplining of all staff in the Engineering Department, such as duty engineers, plumber, painter, joiner and apprentice(s).
 
Requirements:
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership skills in motivating and managing the team to drive for results
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience at same role with international chain 5* luxury hotels

• Basic Salary: USD 6,300 Monthly (Negotiable based on experience)
