(Mauritius) Looking for a Director of Food & Beverage for a 5* luxury hotel & resort.

About the Role:
As a Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible to maintain the standards of quality, service and facilities for the overall smooth and economical running of the entire Food & Beverage department.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
• To maintain on a day-to-day basis the standards and policies of the operation of the Food and Beverage department.
• Responsible for strategic planning of all facets of the F&B operation in relation to guest preferences, F&B trends, special events, festive occasion planning and more. 
• Responsible, with the Executive Chef, for the annual planning of food promotions.
• Execution of regular technical/skills training. Is responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in the department in conjunction with the General Quality & Brand Experience.
• Controls and analyses: Quality levels of production and presentation, guest satisfaction, merchandising, operating, payroll and food cost, cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene.
• Oversee employee on-the-job performance appraisal, hiring specific levels employees, coaching to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity.
• Conducting frequent Food and Beverage meetings relating to, but not limited to, the following: overall Food and Beverage financial results and profitability, projected business, operations results and problems, new policies, quality improvement, sales improvement and productivity improvement.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends, systems and best practice.
• Previous work experience in luxury resort required.
• An F&B specialist with a proven track record in Food and Beverage within hospitality industry.
