Job Descriptions

(Maldives) Looking for an Director of IT for a 5* luxury hotel

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as primary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware.
- Ensure critical systems, specifically Front Office (Property Management System) and Food & Beverage computer systems (Micros) are available twenty-four (24) hours per day.
- Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
- Maintain licenses for all software and ensure that all systems are covered by the proper maintenance contacts. 
- Establish and maintain system security procedures consistent with control requirements and corporate policy.
- Monitor the performance of the computer software and maintain a log of performance reports, error and integrity check reports, system malfunctions and solutionscompany core technology standards as outlined in the company IT Core Standards notes database.
- Participate in and lead the co-ordination of new systems acquisitions, corporate initiated major projects and technology implementations.
- Assist the Director of Finance in administering all IT related maintenance and services contracts and take a leadership role in establishing scope of the maintenance and services contracts, contract negotiations and bidding process.
